Testing the user experience a web portal for a cloud hosted print solution
Project: GDS GovPrint - testing the user experience of a web portal for a cloud hosted print solution
Role: Senior User Researcher
The Challenge
Civil service hubs with a mobile and roaming workforce had inefficiencies with too many devices, no shared printing service against an increasing collaborative environment across Government.
Users just expect to print when they want to. IT teams see it as a drain on resources. Finance want to save on costs. Procurement want to buy products.
What did I do?
Organised five rounds of lab based testing with civil servants across government including users with access needs. I designed the research plan, created the testing script and associated tasks, moderated the research session oversaw the wider participation of the product team in a group affinity mapping session and presented key insights and recommendations in preparation for a Alpha Service Assessment.
